Who I work with

I'm Tina Masoudi, AMFT #155851 and APCC #19568, supervised by Christina Mathieson, LMFT #115093. I work with young adults navigating the particular pressures of this life stage: academic and early-career stress, identity questions, relationships, family-of-origin patterns that surface once you're living independently, and the grief that often rides alongside transition. Much of my previous clinical work was at a college counseling center, so the rhythm of young-adult concerns is familiar to me.

I also work with individuals, couples, and families across other life stages. That includes grief work (fresh loss, anticipated loss, complicated or disenfranchised grief), anxiety that has built up over years, and trauma that needs an integrative, trauma-informed room.

I have experience with first responders and clients impacted by the justice system, where therapy needs to hold both the systemic context and the personal one. Faith-integrated therapy is available for clients who want it; equally welcoming if you don't.

My approach

Integrative and trauma-informed, blending evidence-based therapies with psychodynamic insight. For clients who want it, I offer Christian counseling that holds space for spirituality without requiring it. For those who don't, the work proceeds without.

Session format

Sessions are available via secure telehealth across California, or in person at 1460 Maria Ln #300, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. You can request in-person; I'll also recommend it when I think it would serve the work. Clients are welcome to move between formats as schedules and clinical needs shift.
