meet jane

Hi, I'm jane livingston.

An associate professional clinical counselor.

From a young age, I've been passionate about understanding and supporting others through life’s challenges. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Washington University. I have grown my clincial skills and knoweledge by working at a private practice for the last 1.5 years. One of my favorite accomplishments is presenting on bisexuality among women in Japan at an international conference.  I am committed to continuing to provide services and explore research that is focused on inclusivity and diversity in mental health care.

Specialized Couples Counseling and Emotionally Focused Therapy

I am certified in Prepare and Enrich Couples Counseling, where I utilize evidence-based tools to guide couples through a personalized process that not only addresses current relationship dynamics but also prepares them for a fulfilling future together. My expertise in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) helps individuals and couples uncover the emotions underlying conflicts, strengthen attachment bonds, and foster open communication. Whether you’re newly engaged, in a long-term relationship, or facing difficult times, I’m here to help you build stronger, more meaningful connections.

Collaborative, Holistic Counseling Approach

My approach to counseling is deeply collaborative, emphasizing the importance of a strong, trusting relationship between client and counselor. I believe in providing holistic support and honoring each individual's unique journey toward mental and emotional wellness. By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, I encourage clients to explore their challenges and discover paths to healing. Together, we’ll develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, goals, and values, guiding you toward a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Your Wellness Journey Begins Here

I've had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, from 4 to 75, addressing issues such as attachment, trauma, family dynamics, and relationships. Whether you’re seeking help for anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, my goal is to support you every step of the way.

Balancing Professional and Personal Life

Outside of my professional life, I stay grounded and rejuvenated by running, skiing, and mountain biking with my dog. These activities help me maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle, ensuring that I am fully present and engaged in our sessions.
